SV #86 VL Calais??

I am wondering if anyone has herd of a SV86 Vl commodore?? I recently have bought a 1986 Vl calais with all matching numbers ect, How ever inside of the car just above the Cd player is a badge stamped SV86 #001.... What dose this mean?? Any help would be great (:

I’m aware that SV stands for Special Vehicles haha! And of course 86 being the year the car was made! Was just curious if anyone had ever seen this in their VL. It was originally bronze with red/ burgundy interior, has been painted black since then. Any helps great tho thanks.

i've never heard of a sv86, pics would definetly help, does it have a spoiler like the SV88?

Not sure how pictures are going to help as car has been painted a different colour, and the rest is like every other calais..

o ok yeh it mostly looks like a standard vl calais run the VIN and see what it comes up as? take a photo of the badge :) i'm intrigued now, its obviously had changes i.e group a letterbox grill, but yeah definetly never heard of a sv86, what engine is it?

hey i was out with my mate today and we went out to look at this calais, it had a bodykit on it a mix of Group a parts and series 200 parts on it and it was gold and it had SV-86 # 008 the lady selling it said that it came from factory with the boot lip and lower extention peices and had an accident and replaced the bumpers with spares her husband had. she rekons there weree only 40 made?

So glad that someone has gotten back to me. My calais was originaly gold, manual gear box and may of been a turbo by the looks of it. Ive also heard alot about there only being a few made. Thanks thanks, time to contact Holden I think :)

What does it say when you run the VIN through the calculator. It has 'Series 2' glovebox trim which would indicate its a late 1987/1988 VL...

Looks like the SV-86 badge is a home job.

Put the VIN results up.

The series II glove box was put there by me! I'm aware that's not original, I made it Lol ;) VIN results just come up with error. Says its not sure what it is but verifies at is an 86 VL an was originally dark gold.. Couldnt tell me anything else.
